Rick Becker is the co-founder of "Famine in the Land," a ministry focused on exposing false doctrines and promoting sound biblical teaching. He also serves as the Collective leader of SELAH VIE South Africa. Based on the premise of Titus 1:9, Rick emphasizes the importance of holding fast to trustworthy doctrine and rebuking those who oppose it. His writings frequently challenge popular movements such as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), prosperity gospel, and other modern trends that stray from biblical truths. He believes that the Word of God alone is sufficient for teaching, correction, and instruction, as outlined in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Through Famine in the Land, Rick seeks to equip believers with discernment, urging them to rely on Scripture rather than the โsmooth talk and flatteryโ of false teachers. He advocates for a return to biblical orthodoxy, encouraging believers to reject the trends of self-centered spirituality and return to the sufficiency of Scripture for all areas of faith and practice.
Every 1st Wednesday of the month, Rick is ready to lead a lively discussion that invites everyone to explore their beliefs about Christianity in a fun and non-judgmental environment. Join us as we tackle big questions and share a few laughs along the way!
This course is specifically for those who have recently come out of false teachings and movements such as the New Apostolic Reformation, hyper-charismatic, word of faith theology, dominion theology, and the health and wealth/prosperity gospel.
We recommend to join a Q&A session. But if you find yourself confused and with questions, Rick is here to help via Zoom. Donations are welcome to help continue this work. However, If you need support but can't afford it, please reach out to Rick directly.
